Patient Stories

Real experiences of living with a prescription for cannabis-based medicine — told by patients, carers and families, in their own words.

“MCAW 2026 gives us, the patients, a chance to come together, share our experiences, the knowledge we have gained along the way and the opportunity to steer conversations in the right direction, towards real change, that benefits those that need it most.”

Lex Wolfe

“No patient should have to fight for the right to take their prescribed medicine at home.”

Lex was first prescribed medical cannabis in 2019, aged 19, as one of the UK’s early patients. From years of feeling numb on psychiatric medication, to fighting an eviction threat over a legal prescription, this is how the journey has gone — and how much access has changed since.
